01

Low or uneven tread

Tyres need adequate tread to clear water and maintain grip. Uneven wear may also point to pressure, alignment or suspension issues. Check across the width of the tyre rather than looking at one easy-to-see edge.

02

Cracks, cuts and bulges

Sidewall cracking, exposed cords, deep cuts or a bulge can indicate structural damage. These defects are not normal puncture repairs and the tyre should be assessed before further driving.

03

Repeated pressure loss

A tyre that needs frequent inflation may have a slow puncture, valve fault or rim sealing issue. Repeatedly topping it up delays the diagnosis and can allow hidden damage to worsen.

04

Vibration or handling changes

New vibration, pulling or instability can be linked to tyre damage, imbalance or another vehicle fault. Slow down, stop safely and inspect the tyres. Do not continue at speed if the vehicle feels unsafe.

05

Age and condition matter together

A tyre can have tread remaining but still deteriorate through age, heat and weather exposure. Check the sidewall date code and arrange an inspection if you are unsure about cracking or hardening.
